Laura Courdi
Laura Courdi holds a Bachelor of Laws and an M.B.A. from the Université de Sherbrooke, as well as a Master of Common Law from the University of British Columbia.
Laura began her career in private practice as a corporate lawyer. She then joined the National Bank of Canada for a period of 7 years, where she worked as legal counsel in the bank’s corporate secretarial department and in the legal affairs and compliance department of its insurance subsidiary. After completing her Master’s degree in Common Law, she helped deliver regulatory projects for the Fonds de solidarité FTQ. From 2020 to 2024, Laura pursued her career at Otéra Capital inc. a subsidiary of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, developing her expertise in ethics, compliance and privacy. In 2024, she joins Novacap as Director, Legal Affairs and Compliance. In this capacity, she will be responsible for implementing and developing Novacap’s compliance program.
