Heather is a strategic and visionary leader with over 25 years of debt and equity experience in middle market M&A across multiple functional areas including deal execution, portfolio management, business development, investor relations, marketing, and communications.

Prior to joining Novacap, Heather was a Partner and Head of Business Development at Huron Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm based in Detroit, Michigan. In addition to her business development activities, she had additional responsibilities involving firm strategy and operations, external and internal firm communications, public relations, investor relations, and marketing and brand development. She was also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team and Investment Committee.

Heather has also held roles at SPP Capital, Comerica Bank, CIT Sponsor Finance, and Apogem Capital (fka Madison Capital Funding) where she focused on originating, structuring, and underwriting leveraged finance products for private equity clients.

Heather is currently an independent trustee for the Detroit Police and Fire Retirement System Investment Committee and a member of Trustee Council at Cornell University.

She is also a board member for the Joyce Ivy Foundation, a non-profit committed to the academic advancement and leadership development of young women from the Midwest, and the Detroit Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), a global association of professionals focused on driving connectivity and growth in middle market M&A.

Heather holds a B.A. in French from Cornell University.
