Christian Turgeon has a large experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions and financing; he has been involved in numerous transactions in America, Europe and Asia. He is responsible for coordinating the investment support activities, mergers and acquisitions and disinvestments.
Mr. Turgeon started his career in 1997 with KPMG, first as an Auditor, and then, as Director – Transaction Services, where he had the opportunity to act as an advisor to a large range of customers, mainly in the framework of due diligence for acquisitions projects.
He then earned a solid operational experience as Senior Director – Corporate Development & Finance of a major packaging supplier, where he was in charge of the operations of an acquired subsidiary, its integration into the parent company business model and the sale of non-core operations and assets.
More recently, prior to Novacap, Mr. Turgeon worked in various subsidiaries of La Caisse de dépôt et de placement du Québec as an Investment Director, where he had as a responsibility, the identification of investment opportunities, negotiation, underwriting, due diligence and the closing. He was involved in many large-scale transactions in the United States, Europe and Asia. He also worked on restructuring non performing investments.
Mr. Turgeon holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and is a Certified Accountant.
